MobileShield - Get your stolen phone back!

MobileShield - Get your stolen phone back!I just had my phone stolen and I managed to get it back. How? Few months ago a purchased MobileShield - a mobile phone protection application that I installed on my Nokia N95 phone (the application is compatible with all Symbian S60 3rd edition mobile phones), I installed MobileShield on the phone configured it and forgot about it until I had my phone stolen.

What exactly does MobileShield do and how it helped me get my Nokia N95 back? MobileShield is installed on your S60 3rd edition mobile phone, to be more specific on the phone memory only so that it can not be removed from the card. The application activates whenever the SIM card of the phone is changed and requires authentication, a password that only you know. If you fail to enter the correct password the application automatically sends a SMS message to a number you entered in the configuration process. For security reasons I entered both mobile phone numbers.

After getting my phone stolen I received an SMS message when the thief changed the SIM card. I had his mobile phone number now...

After receiving the SMS message, I picked up my warranty and went to the police. I gave them proof that I bought the phone and I gave them the number which the thief was using. After a quick call to the mobile operator we found the name and address of the man who stole my phone and in a matter of hours I got my phone back.

Although this application is not free, it costs $10.00 so it is not freeware, I thought that I would write an article about it, after all MobileShield got my phone back. Even the police were surprised by this application and the way we caught the thief.

MobileShield for Symbian S60 3rd edition is available for purchase here!
