MoBots for Symbian S60 3rd edition

MoBots for Symbian S60

MoBots are small applications that you can build in your phone using a very simple graphical interface. They act automatically on specific events like small robots. This is why they called them Mobile Robots or MoBots.

They are so simple, that only contain three types of bulding blocks:
Events - Yellow block that represent events capable to awake up your MoBot, like clock, incoming calls and sms, or enter a cell location or a bluetooth range..
Conditions - Green blocks that represents conditions that should occur when the MoBots receive previous event, to allow the execution of the task, like the active profile, time, or location...
Commands - Blue blocks that represents the actions will take place automatically when the above is true, like ring, vibrate, place a misscall, send an sms or mms.. etc.

So you can create several MoBots that responde by you to different daily situations and all are independently active or sleeping. To get more powerful, some MoBots actions may be to activate or disable others MoBots, so complex behaviours like games, can be created.

Imagine you what to make a miss call to your girlfriend, every time you're arriving to her house during the evening, to advise her so she comes out. This is a very simple task for a MoBots, that awake when it sens the cell-id of your girlfriend house, see if is evening and then place a miss call. Only three blocks of MoBots :-)

If your mobile has accelerometer, you can leave a handset in your car and if you create a MoBots that if notes movement, then place a call to your other handset, you?ve create an alarm that your car is being stolen with only two blocks of MoBots.

So MoBots makes the "dream come true". Finally, everyone, not only skilled software developers, can create applications for mobile phones, and this application will be shared by the worldwide community.

You can download MoBots for Symbian S60 3rd edition initial release and FP1 here! MoBots is free. For examples on how to set up your first MoBot click here! Unfortunately although some users say that you can install MoBots on S60 3rd edition FP2 and use it with some minor problems, we installed it on Nokia N96 but were unable to start the application. Hopefully this will be fixed soon and FP2 users and even the newer S60 5th edition mobile phones like the Nokia N97 and Nokia 5800 XpressMusic will be supported.

I agree with decard. The lsteat version of OS2006 did not address anything of top importance for many of us. I seems like an attempt to give the impression that you are still supporting 770 while in fact not much credible effort is going there.Dr. Jaaksi, Thanks for addressing our comments... Also N800 seems like a good product I might eventually upgrade to.But, here are couple of questions for which we (770 owners) will appreciate direct answers:1) Are we ever going to see a completely stable, bug-free version of an OS on our 770s? This questions how much you are really committed to support 770.2) Are we ever going to get updates on the licenced software such as Opera and Flash? 3) Are we ever going to get access to lower level drivers, or at least Nokia will do the work for us, so that we can enable capabilities like bluetooth headphone support? Thanks,
