Nokia N97 firmware update coming on July 1st 2009

The rumor is that Nokia will release a firmware update for the Nokia N97 on July 1st 2009. Less then one month since the official release of the mobile phone, there will be a firmware update and I must say it is expected by many people. If you have seen our previous posts reviewing the Nokia N97 and the negative impressions we had from this phone, you will find that most of them are fixable by an firmware update. So just in a few days we will see what will improve and what new bugs will be introduced by this firmware upgrade on the Nokia N97.

I think it would be a good idea to be able to remove the clock and profile from the Nokia N97 screen and be able to place widgets on their place

They should improve the call quality and the network reception problem, other things need improving are the ROM free space and the back light problem. Also not to forget to include the kinetic scrolling into all applications

I would like to remove some of the more pointless apps. Boingo I am sure I will never use this application. The other thing is get copy/paste working in all applications, please!

Good to see a trend in mobile firmware/OS being updated without you being forced to buy a new phone. Hopefully they patch up all of the major stuff with this revision, making it very stable.
