MotoBlur, something we would like to see on Symbian S60

MotoBlur for Symbian S60 5th edition Nokia smartphones

It seems like Motorola has been busy creating something that at least looks very cool and I think we would like to see it ported to Nokia Symbian S60 5th edition smartphones like the Nokia N97. MotoBlur is the most attractive social app thing I have seen so far and it is described as "MOTOBLUR syncs Facebook™, MySpace and Twitter– with no logins and no apps to open. Post your status, catch up and more, right from your home screen.". It looks that you have one social app to rule them all.
  • PHONEBOOK - MOTOBLUR synchs personal and work contacts, and connected social networks
  • PHOTO SHARING - MySpace, Photobucket, Picasa, Facebook™
  • CUSTOMIZABLE HOME SCREEN - MOTOBLUR's Happenings, Status and Messaging widgets deliver status posts and more. Customizable RSS news widgets keeps you up to date.
  • MESSAGING -  Facebook™, MySpace and Twitter Direct Messaging
From what we were able to see from the online MotoBlur simulator available on Motorola's website we like what we see and I think it is a time someone in Nokia to start thinking about making apps and UI experience like Motorola did for Android with MotoBlur. It has been quite a while since the release of S60 5th edition and I think it is the right time, if not already to late, to start making the S60 user interface more interactive and start competing with platforms like iPhone, Windows Mobile and Android. I for sure, would like to see more apps like MotoBlur and Gravity on my Nokia N97. Until then I think we must be grateful for the kinetic scrolling which we will be getting in the firmware 2.0 upgrade for Nokia N97, scheduled for next week.
