About King Fisher - Theme

Transform your phone with a new King Fisher. You can download this theme to give an entirely different look for your mobile with this new one. Suited for S60 3rd edition. Kingfisher is the common name for members of the cosmopolitan avian family Alcedinidae, order Coraciiformes, which also includes the Australian kookaburra, Dacelo gigas. The greatest number of species are found in the tropics and subtropics. These birds measure 10 to 46 cm in length and have a large, usually crested head and a compact body. The bill is usually straight, long, and powerful, and the front toes are characteristically fused at the base. Kingfisher plumages are green, blue, purple, reddish brown, or white; several species have iridescent feathers. The majority of species do not eat fish, but rather insects and other invertebrates. Many kingfishers hover in search of prey before they swoop to the ground or dive into the water. Most species are solitary. Their unlined nests are in tree cavities or in embankments.Kingfishers are usually classified into three subfamilies. The belted kingfisher, Megaceryle alcyon, and the giant kingfisher, M. maxima, of tropical Africa are included in the subfamily Cerylinae, most members of which eat mainly fish. The belted kingfisher is named for the band of color across the bird's breast. The common kingfisher, Alcedo atthis, of Europe, Asia, and Africa is in the subfamily Alcedininae, which includes many insect-eating species. The most familiar of the three kingfishers, subfamily Daceloninae, is the kookaburra, known for its variety of loud calls, some of which are reminiscent of human laughter.Compatible for Nokia 5700, Nokia 6110, Nokia 6120, Nokia 6290, Nokia E50, E60, E61, E61i, E62, E65, E70, N71, N73, N75, N76, N80, N92, N93, N93i, N95
